Kindle book on European cycle tours

I received an email from a self-published author and cyclist called Mike Newton. He’s released a new book on Amazon, available as a Kindle book for just £1.99. You can also read a sample free (“Look Inside”) on the Amazon site before buying. The book’s a personal account of a set of tours undertaken by a group and includes a wealth of practical detail about places to stay, to visit, costs etc. I’ve included a link on the Cycling Links pages, and you can also access it here.

Here’s a description of the content:

Cycling Rides devised by GASBAGS for their annual one-week rides. There are 15 rides which are in Salento in Italy, Galway in Ireland, Menorca, Croatian Islands, Sardinia, Canal du Midi, Three Rivers (Rhine, Moselle, Lahn), Celtic Trail (South Wales), Prague to Vienna Greenway, Outer Hebrides, Scottish Isles, Catalonia, Holland, Andalucia, and the French Alps. There is a short description of each day, with daily maps and elevation gain pictures all linked into Viewranger and thus the GPX files can be downloaded for use in most cycling apps and Garmin cycling cumputers. Thirteen of the routes include a link to a YouTube that was made at the time. Photographs are included and there are links through to information sites about the countries, towns and villages.
